International Charter School of New York |
Founded by a former diplomat who worked in the Foreign Service, the International Charter School of New York attracts students of different races, ethnicities and income levels. After the school and a private developer agreed to build a new 700-student K-8 charter school in a manufacturing district near the Brooklyn Navy Yard, we worked with the school and development team to design a school that reflects the robust typology of the nearby warehouse construction while including a full-sized gym, cafeteria, rooftop play area, and well-lit classrooms with terrific views of the skyline. |
