Prospect Schools Offices |
Prospect Schools invited Loci to design their new central offices for the organization’s charter school network. The design concept was based on the school’s philosophy as a branching ecosystem of learning - and a nod to Betty Smith’s famous novel, “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.” The offices are the proverbial treehouse nestled into the school branches scattered across the borough, providing support and leadership for the entire community. Lighting, new millwork, and graphics enhance the work area to best serve the occupants while creating an aesthetically pleasing environment. The light fixtures are integrated with acoustical panels to mitigate the height difference between two open work areas. The fixtures include sensors that adapt the illumination to changing daylight levels. The new millwork separates the front reception area from the workstations, yet is detailed to be warm and inviting with an open geometry that unifies the entire office suite. |
