SoHo Cast Iron Restoration |
Loci restored the cast iron façades at 134-140 Grand Street, located at the crossroads of SoHo and Nolita in the SoHo-Cast Iron Historic District Extension. The six story, late-19th century Landmark building is a classic example of the building typology that made the downtown neighborhood famous. Originally a manufacturing warehouse, a group of artists converted the building to accommodate 17 dramatic live/work loft spaces in 1977. Though the building occupants have changed, the spirit of the area’s colorful past lives on in its restored character. |
